Money Allergy | Vytex Natural Rubber Latex

Money Allergy

Believe it or not, you may have a “money allergy” and not be aware of it. There are many people who show signs of an allergic reaction such as itchy skin, watery eyes and shortness of breath when they come into contact with paper money. The real culprit behind these symptoms, however, is the adhesive in the strap that holds paper money together. This adhesive, although oftentimes overlooked, contains latex and may be the primary reason so many people have an allergic reaction when coming into contact with paper money.

Vystar Corporation created Vytex® Natural Rubber Latex (NRL) because the world needs better latex products such as the adhesives in straps that hold paper money together. Vystar’s research team devoted more than seven years to finding a way to significantly reduce the allergy-causing proteins typically found in traditional natural rubber latex. This process uses the same chemical compound that has been accepted for use in water purification.

If you think you may suffer from a money allergy caused by the adhesives found in the straps, feel free to contact us or contact your physician about your concerns and consider being tested for latex allergy.
